Claire Waliczek, MPH, is the Project Manager and Public Health Analyst at the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office. She received her Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Policy and Management from Georgia State University. She also received a bachelor’s degree in Global Health with a minor in Criminal Justice from Mercer University. During her time at Mercer University, Claire played on both the Indoor and Beach volleyball team, which helped her transition into this office where team collaboration is highly valued. Claire has played an active role working with the coroners and acting as the liaison between them and our office. Claire has been involved in multiple initiatives at the office including data modernization efforts, data analysis, grant applications, and more. Claire has also been assisting the District Attorney’s Office with their federal grant program, BJA’s Missing and Unidentified Human Remains, where they have been working to identify the 27 unidentified remains at the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office. In her free time, Claire enjoys spending her time outside with friends and family, painting, travelling, eating, working out, and hanging out with her cat Pepperoni Wiggles
